It’s been a while since I’ve updated but today is a day that deserves a bit of updating.
So we’ve all been sick since Feb 17th (Some sort of URI.. ie. nothing a trip to the doctor would fix as it was a viral thing) Being sick in my house is never a good thing. We don’t get sick very often, so when we do, we really do.
It all started with C he come home from school on the 17th and just didn’t feel good and then proceeded to run a fever. It spread from there.
I got it and S got it and eventually R got. Now we are on day 10. C has come out of it pretty easy and so has R.
S and Mommy are a whole other story. We’ve had it kind of hanging on. Me with my head being full of stuff and S with a cough that was not really productive. SO R and I decided to give S some Children’s Mucinex to see if we could help her cough be a bit more productive and get it out of her system a little faster. Her first dose was this morning @ about 430 this morning. By 9 she seemed good her nose was running and her cough was there but at least it sounded more wet than dry (I know TMI).
So off we go about our day. My goal today was to do some work out side to get the yard ready for the new season. So out we go. I’m working and Sarah is playing on our hill. She turns to me and says “Mommy I’m tired and I want to go back inside.” I said “Okay Sarah.” At which point she makes it to the top of our side hill and starts to cry. I asked her what’s wrong. Sarah says “My leg hurts” Mind you she wont look at me. So I go up and pick her up to carry her to the porch so we can sit down and see what is going on with her leg. She wouldn’t tell me why it hurt. So I went to go move my arm and she went a little limp in my hand. So I tried to get her attention at which point She closed her eyes and went completely limp. I called her name and couldn’t get her to respond. She was out for about 15 secs.
I think it was the longest 15 seconds of my life. After taking her on the rounds today, we have an appointment with a family practitioner on March 6th to make sure there isn’t anything serious going on with her. Until then we were told that if it happens again we should go to the emergency room. As of right now she is resting and so am I. As a parent I don’t think I’ve ever had a scarier moment. I panicked and thank the lord for having great neighbors who waited it out with me while R made his way home. I can’t imagine my life without all of the special people in it!!!
We are asking for everyone to send good vibes our way that it’s nothing serious:) At this point we aren’t worried she is back to her normal self and is in no immediate danger:)
